Manchester Freshers 2026: The City Comes Alive
September is one of the biggest times of year for Manchester, as thousands of new and returning students arrive in the city ready to start a new chapter.
For The University of Manchester, Welcome Week 2026 runs from Monday 21 September to Friday 25 September, with university-wide activities, Students’ Union events, socials and plenty happening across the city.
Over at Manchester Metropolitan University, Freshers 2026 is already gearing up, with a programme of welcome events and activities designed to help students settle into university life and experience everything Manchester has to offer.
With its central Manchester location, multiple event spaces, professional sound and lighting, DJ facilities and capacity for events of up to 375 guests, the venue is perfectly placed for everything from student society events and DJ showcases to Freshers parties, cultural events and independent promoter nights.
But we’re not just interested in welcoming students through the doors.
